Adelaide L. Kett, 90, 0f Spotswood, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 16, 2025.
Born and raised in South Beach, Staten Island, New York, Adelaide lived in Florida and California before settling in Spotswood in 2004. She retired in 2000 from Regional Radiology of Staten Island, NY where she was an Administrative Assistant and Medical Transcriber. She was a member and past treasurer and president of the Spotswood Senior Center. She enjoyed playing Mahjong, Bingo, Pokeno, online puzzles, diamond art crafting, shopping and collecting salt and pepper shakers. She looked forward to traveling, especially the different parts of Italy. She loved watching and was very proud of her nephew, a Catcher for the Syracuse Mets, the Triple A affiliate of the New York Mets baseball team, as well as the Kansas City Major League.
Predeceased by her are her sons, Richard Carisi, Jr. and Wayne Carisi, and her brother, John Cucco. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Carisi-Rose and her husband, Michael; her sister, Maureen Palazzola; her grandchildren, Zane, Anthony and Vanessa Carisi. and; her great-grandchildren, Jayden Carisi and Amara Bey.
Cremation was private. A Memorial Gathering of Remembrance for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 27th, from 1:00 until 4:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Adelaide’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
