Alan C. Rosenthal, 82, of Helmetta, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Coney Island, New York, Alan also lived in Morganville and Howell, settling in Helmetta in 2019. He was the owner Jersey Seafood and later, Alan’s Seafood, a wholesale distributor to the restaurant industry for more than 40 years, retiring in 2017. He enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, the races at Freehold Raceway and going to flea markets. Alan was known for his kindness, sense of humor, good nature and generosity. He was always there to help anyone that needed a hand, no questions asked. He also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City for their shows and casinos.
Predeceased by his siblings, Rita Cohen and Stewart Rosenthal, he is survived by his wife of 57 years, Debra Rosenthal; his children, Jennifer Engleman and her husband, Jason and Bryan Rosenthal and his wife, Elizabeth; his grandchildren, Isabella Rose, Gianna, Decklynne Rose and Christian Nicole, and; his great-grandchildren, Brantley, Kayleigh and Noah
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 17th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, Spotswood.
