Carol Jurgensen, 92, of Freehold Township, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at her home.
Carol was born and raised in the former Madison Township, now Old Bridge. She married and raised her family in Old Bridge. In 2003, Carol moved to Whiting and in 2021 moved to her Freehold residence. She loved music and was an accomplished organist of more than thirty years at the Simpson United Methodist Church, Old Bridge. She was a world traveler, enjoyed river cruises. She was an avid reader and enjoyed painting using acrylics and oils for her artwork.
Predeceased by her husband, Robert Jurgensen in 2021 and her brother, Alan Morrell, she is survived by her children, Alan Jurgensen and his wife, Karen and Neal Jurgensen and his wife, Lisa; her grandchildren, Jason, Jonathan, Kyle, Rebecca, Debra, and Thomas, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, July 2nd, with a graveside service at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick, under the direction of Spotswood Funeral Home.
The family requests that donations honoring Carol's memory be made to St Jude’s Childrens Hospital in lieu of flowers.
