Charles Nicholas Swensen, 65, of Monroe Township, passed away on Sunday, August 25th at his home.
Born in Weehawken, Charlie was raised in West New York. He lived in North Bergen, Edison and Spotswood before settling in Monroe Township in 2015. He retired in 2009 from Yellow Freight of East Brunswick and he also worked for many years at Red Star Express in Newark. Charlie was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Yankees. He enjoyed word seek puzzles and Rod Stewart's music. He was a very loyal friend who would help anyone whenever they needed a hand.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia, of Monroe Township; his sister, Judy Pagan and her husband, Nelson, of Oradell, and their sons, Christopher and Patrick; his aunt, Ruth Petrovic, and; his faithful canine companion, Lexi.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 30th, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home at 475 Main Street, Spotswood. Cremation will be private.
