Consuelo Tavano, 88, of Monroe Township, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020.
Born and raised in Salas De Los Infantes, Burgos, Spain, Consuelo lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina for 17 years before coming to the United States in 1968, where she lived in Queens, New York and Spotswood before settling in Monroe Township in 2002. She worked as a seamstress for many years for the Mancuso Dress Company of Brooklyn, New York before retiring in 1991. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and her flower gardens. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband Vito in 2001 and her son Joseph in 2017, she is survived by her daughter, Maria Sapia and her husband Joseph, of Monroe Township; her siblings, Pilar Pedrido and, Teresa and Luis Moncalvillo, and; her grandchildren, Dominique, Joseph and Nicholas Sapia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, August 12th at 10:30 AM from Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood, followed by entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Spotswood Funeral Home.
