Daniel Christopher Lyse, 51, of East Brunswick, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the Cranford Rehab and Nursing Center, Cranford, NJ.
Born in Oak Park, Illinois, Danny lived in Elmwood Park, Roselle, St. Charles and Elgin, IL, before settling in East Brunswick, NJ in 2012. For 20 years, he worked as a bagger for Dominick's Food Store, in Bartlett, IL, where he won numerous awards for his excellent customer service. Danny loved all dogs, especially his canine niece, Samantha. He loved fire trucks, trains, and was an avid HO scale railroad buff. Danny's personality was one of making friends with everyone he met. He radiated kindness and brought joy to anyone who was lucky enough to meet him. Danny had a heart of gold and was loved by his family and friends
Predeceased by his father, Ronald Lyse in 2012, he is survived by his mother, Betty Lyse; his sister, Jennifer Cifuentes and her husband Hector, and; his nephews, Jakob and Ethan Cifuentes. .
Cremation was private. The family will receive family and friends at a Memorial Gathering on Saturday, September 16th, form 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations honoring Danny's memory be made to the Special Olympics.
