David Kayton, of Blessed Memory, of Monroe Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the age of 80.
Born and raised in Riga, Latvia, David immigrated to the United States in 1984 in search of new opportunities for his family. He first made his home in Brooklyn, New York, before settling in New Brunswick, New Jersey. In 2022, he and his wife moved to the Clearbrook Community in Monroe Township, where they enjoyed their retirement years.
David dedicated much of his professional life to a career as an electrical engineer. He was respected for his intelligence, strong work ethic, and thoughtful approach to solving problems. He retired in 2015 after many years of service.
Above all else, David was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering love for his family, and the life he built through perseverance, resilience, and dedication. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
David is survived by his beloved wife of Tatiana Kayton; his sons, Arthur and Edward.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Floral Park Cemetery, South Brunswick, New Jersey, under the direction of Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, Spotswood.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to American Cancer Society.
