Deanna Aszman, 83, of Rockwood, TN, formerly of Spotswood, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at her home.
Born and raised in Elizabeth, Deanna lived in Monroe Township for several years before moving to Spotswood in 1964. She moved to Rockwood earlier this year to be with her son and daughter-in-law. She was a production manager for 41 years with Superior Signal Company of Old Bridge Township. Deanna was an accomplished oil painter and she enjoyed crafting and crocheting. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Spotswood and also a member of the Monroe Township Mother's club. She was well known for taking her grandchildren camping, to water parks and movies, and for designing elaborate Halloween costumes. She enjoyed traveling in her camper and especially loved being in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Predeceased by her husband Harry in 2019 and her daughter Dianna in 2003, she is survived by her sons Harry and his wife Kristen of Rockwood, TN and Gary and his wife Jan of Somerset, NJ; her grandchildren Nicole Parker and her wife Pam, Heather Aszman, Dean Aszman and his fiancée Marissa Finnerty and Ian Aszman, and; her great-grandchildren Jadalyn, Killian and Kambri.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 AM, Monday, December 19th from Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial from Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Jamesburg. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
