Dennis Luke Yockavitch, 76, of Spotswood, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
Born and raised in Elizabeth, Dennis later lived in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township before settling in Spotswood in 1996. He was an Inside Salesperson for Bender-Chiswick Group of Kenilworth. Dennis enjoyed his Chevy Camaros both old and new, collecting Lionel HO scale trains, reading sci-fi and WWII books, watching old TV shows, and the History Channel. He was a fan of the New York Rangers, Yankees and Jets. Together with his late wife, Jeane, they enjoyed travelling in and around New England. He also looked forward to enjoying a good, hand rolled cigar.
Predeceased by his wife, Jeane Yockavitch, in 2010, his brother and sister, Robert Yockavitch and Lou Ann McGuire, and brother-in-law, Anthony Bruno, he is survived by his daughter, Laura Seamen and her husband, Richard; his Grandson Brad Smith, his siblings, Linda Siekierka and her husband, Mike, Judy Bruno and Loretta McKenna and her husband, Chris; his sister-in-law Betty Yockavitch, his brother-in-law, William McGuire; His Brother and Sister-in-Law Fred and Kate Sadler; a nephew, Daniel Glovan; a niece, Elise Calabrese and her husband, Michael; Nephew Jason Sadler, his wife Kate and their children and Niece Samantha Putnam and her Husband Shawn.
A private cremation was entrusted to Spotswood Funeral Home. A committal service will be announced at a later date.
