Dominick Peter Torre, Jr., 65, of Spotswood, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, with his wife Peggy by his side, after an extended illness.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Dom was raised in Queens, New York. He met the love of his life, Peggy, when they both worked at WR Grace in NYC. They married in 1984 and started the foundation of their family. Dominick and Peggy moved to Old Bridge Township in 1994 and lived there for many years before settling in Clearwater Village of Spotswood in 2020. He retired in 2019 after more than 20 years as an IT Manager with Rabobank of New York City. He served in the US Army National Guard from 1979 until 1985 and he was a member of the Spotswood VFW Post 4589. Dom was a proud member of the (AMA) American Motorcycle Association and (HOG) the Harley Owners Group. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, the New York Mets and the New Jersey Devils. Dominick enjoyed motorcycles, gardening, and cooking, but being a husband, Dad and Bipa were his proudest moments.
Predeceased by his mother, Theresa Torre and his brother, Anthony Torre, he is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Margaret “Peggy” Torre; his children, Nicholas Torre, Patrick Torre and his wife, Tierney and, Dominick Torre, III and his wife, Olga; his father, Dominick P. Torre, Sr. and his wife, Mary Lee; his brother, Salvatore Torre, and; his grandchildren, Meaghan, Kaylynn, Lola and was looking forward to the birth of his grandson in October. He has many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who shared many happy gatherings and fun times.
Funeral services will begin at 8:30 AM on Saturday, July 12th from Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, NJ 08884, followed by a 9:45 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, 23 Manalapan Road, Spotswood, NJ 08884. A concluding service will take place at the Crematory Chapel at Holy Cross Burial Park, 840 Cranbury-South River Road, Jamesburg, NJ 08831 after the Mass. Family and friends may call on Friday, July 11th, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home.
