It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Dr. Martin Ira Pollack, of Blessed Memory, 68, of Manalapan, NJ, known affectionately by loved ones as "Marty", on January 23, 2026. Born on October 14, 1957, in Brooklyn, New York, his life was a testament to his unwavering commitment to family, his passion for sports, and his profound love for helping others as a dedicated physician.
Martin's life was a remarkable journey of service and compassion, which began in the bustling borough of Brooklyn and brought him to the tranquil Manalapan Township, New Jersey. He was a loving husband for over 40 years to Joy Pollack, a devoted father, a caring grandfather, and a loyal friend. Martin was a cornerstone of his family, a dedicated medical professional, and a zealous sports enthusiast. As a smart and committed ER doctor at Ocean Medical Center in Brick Township, NJ, he saved countless lives throughout his 35-year career. His dedication and love for his work were evident in his every action, earning him widespread respect and admiration. Retired but never one to sit idle, Martin was an avid sports fan who loved nothing more than sharing his passion for sports with his children and grandchildren, often taking them to Rangers, Jets, and Knicks games.
Martin leaves a legacy of love, loyalty, and dedication that will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. He is survived by his father, Robert Pollack; his wife, Joy Pollack; his daughters, Shara (Jared), Brina (Cara), and Marisa (Brett); his brothers, Alan (Mary) and Steven (David); his grandchildren, Ethan, Devyn, Shaye, Miles, Marion, Lila, and Alex; and numerous friends who will miss him dearly. Weather Permitting: The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 10:30am at the Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, New Jersey, 08884, followed by burial at 1:00pm at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge Township, New Jersey, 07095. Shiva will be held at Joy Pollack's residence immediately following the burial.
