Dr. Robert Petosa, DC, 67, of Spotswood, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.
Born and raised in the Dongan Hills section of Staten Island, New York, Bob settled in Spotswood in 1989. He was a self-employed chiropractor with a practice in Staten Island, New York for more than 35 years before retiring in 2022. Bob loved spending time with his family and, his old classmates from Monsignor Farrell High School in Staten Island. He enjoyed playing football and baseball and he coached his children’s sports teams, including baseball with Spotswood Rec and Little League, Immaculate Conception basketball and East Brunswick Golden Bears Chargers football. He was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Giants.
Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Lou Petosa, Bob is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Michele Petosa; his children, Kristin Feaster and her husband, Kevin, Joseph Petosa and his wife, Lindsay, Samantha De Filippo and her husband, Gerard and Derek Petosa; his siblings, Nanci Costello and Gary Petosa, and; his grandchildren, Payton, Madison, Colton, Giuliano, Santino and Leo.
Cremation was private. The family will have a Memorial Gathering of friends on Monday, May 12th, from 2:00 until 5:00 PM, at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood.
