Eamon (Patrick) Reddan, 61, of Spotswood passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 5, 2022 in Spotswood NJ.
Born in Ireland he was raised in County Tipperary, before coming to the United States, where he lived in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, and South Amboy before settling in the Clearwater Community in Spotswood in 2021. For more than 20 years, he was a member of the Local 608 Carpenters Union in New York City prior to his retirement. He returned to work shortly afterwards, once again working as a carpenter at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City where he has worked for the last six years. He enjoyed playing and watching Hurling, an ancient Irish sport. Eamon was very proud of his Irish heritage and looked forward to his annual trips back to Ireland. He was known for his witty sense of humor and for relaxing with his tea and cigarettes.
Predeceased by his father, Eamonn, he is survived by his mother Jane Reddan; his sons Sean and his fiancée Elaine Casey and Niall and his fiancée Kaitlin Lepre; his siblings Adrian and his wife Maggie, Margaret Kane and her husband Billy, Connie Mulqueen and her husband Martin and Noelle Flannery and her husband Paul; his grandchildren Leah and Liam; his niece Gabrielle and nephews Jack and David, and; his companion Elif Gungoren-Kocieniewski.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 9th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood. Cremation will be private.
