Earl William Perry, Sr., 85, of Spotswood, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
Born in Cranbury, Earl was raised in Monroe Township before settling in Spotswood in 1962. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. For 39 years, Earl worked as a Refiner Engineer for the former Schweitzer-Maduit International, Inc. of Spotswood, retiring in 1998. He was a fan of New York Yankees baseball and a member of the Pappy Perry Rod and Gun Club. Together with his wife Pat, he enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the United States and abroad. He looked forward to the family’s yearly vacation in Wildwood, NJ. He also looked forward to having all of his family together for Sunday dinners.
Earl was predeceased by siblings, James and Robert Perry, Joyce Ponzio and Bernice Bennett, and his grandson, David Burd, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia Perry; his children, Cathy Thompson and her husband, John, Jacqueline Burd and her husband, David and Earl W. Perry, Jr. and his wife, Anessa; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; his brothers, Raymond and Ronald Perry; his sister, Ruth Ward, and; his faithful canine granddoggies, Muffin, Molly and Moe.
Funeral services will begin with a 10:30 Mass of Christian Burial from Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood, on Monday, September 30th. Cremation will then be private. Arrangements entrusted to Spotswood Funeral Home.
