Edward Levendosky

Edward Levendosky, 95, of Spotswood, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 25, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Born and raised in Bayonne, Ed settled in Spotswood in 1958. He retired in 1986, after more than 35 years as a Clinical Research Specialist at ExxonMobil in Linden. As a devoted husband, father, Grandpa, and Great Pop-Pop, Ed was a selfless man, whose greatest joy was spending quality time with his family. He was truly one-of-a-kind, known for his quick wit, charm, intelligence, and most of all, his incredible sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Predeceased by his wife, Marie in 2010 and, all seven of his siblings, he is survived by his children, Emily Pekurney and her husband, William, and Edward J. Levendosky and his wife, Josette; his granddaughters, Emily Stewart and her husband, Rob and Theresa Pekurney-Khawaja and her husband, Talal, as well as; his great-grandchildren, Jack and Ava. The family wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to Ed’s caregiver of more than 3 years, Sylvia as well as to Peggy, Christina, and Felene from the VNA Hospice for all of their help, kindness and dedication.

The family will receive family and friends on Friday, May 31st, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations honoring Ed’s memory be made to the VNA Hospice.
