Emily Rachel

Emily L. Rachel, 94, formerly of Spotswood, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

Born and raised in Elizabeth, Emily lived in Spotswood from the late 1950s until she settled in East Brunswick in April 2022. In the 80's and 90's, she owned and operated two Barbizon modeling schools in Highland Park and Montclair.

Emily was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in March 2010, her son, Robert R. Rachel, her brother, William "Billy" Gransee, and an infant grandson. She is survived by her sons, Fraser "Chip" Rachel, Eric Rachel and his wife, Donna, and Richard Rachel; six grandchildren and; several great-grandchildren.

A private cremation was entrusted to Spotswood Funeral Home.

Emily loved her pets, most of which were rescues. Donations honoring Emily's memory may be made to the ASPCA.
