Gary Edward Milanowski, 71, of Old Bridge Township passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.
Born and raised in Salamanca, New York, Gary lived in Lindenwold, NJ and Allen, Texas before settling in Old Bridge Township in 1995. For the last two years, he was a senior engineer designing circuits and switches for New Jersey Transit in Newark. Before that he was a senior supervising engineer with Parsons Brinkerhoff, also of Newark. He enjoyed watching Buffalo Bills football, going to Monmouth Racetrack, miniature golf, cruises with his wife, Kathryn, vacations to Alaska, Italy and Switzerland, time with all his pets and, Sunday lunches then going to the movies. He also completed several marathons in his younger days.
Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Irene Milanowski, he is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathryn Milanowski; a son, Josh Milanowski, and; a sister, Diane Piacente.
The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, June 22nd from 2:00 until 6:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood. A Blessing will be offered at 5:30 PM during visitation. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Gary’s memory may be made to the Monmouth County SPCA.
