Glen began his heavenly journey from this life to the next on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, NJ. He is now at peace, resting comfortably and eternally in the loving arms of our faithful God.
Born in 1964 in South Amboy, NJ, he spent most of his life in Parlin, Spotswood, Monroe Township, Morganville, and most recently in Paterson, NJ. He worked in the family plumbing and boiler repair business for many years as well as many plumbing supply companies throughout New Jersey.
Glen enjoyed reading, especially about history, and had a photographic memory. He loved his son and daughter very much and enjoyed spending time with them. He also felt much love for his four grandchildren. Glen also enjoyed watching and rooting for his New York Giants. He graduated in 1982 from Monroe Township High School and attended Middlesex County College.
Predeceased by his father, Harvey Glen Gowin (1988), his mother Florence (Ciorciari) Gowin (2019), brother Leo Gowin (2007), sister Lorraine Gowin (2011), brother Philip Gowin (2016), and his brother-in-law, P. Arthur Leary (2021). He is survived by the mother of his children, Rejenia Hamilton, his son Reginald J. Gowin, his daughter Christina Gowin, and his grandchildren, Aaliyah, Alivia, Amiya, and Alana Gowin. Glen is also survived by his sister Dorothy Kerr and her husband Mark of Edison, NJ, his brother Michael Saint Joseph of Atlantic City, NJ, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Burial Park, Jamesburg, NJ under the direction of Spotswood Funeral Home.
