Harry F. Hawk, Jr. 50, of Spotswood passed away at home on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 following a lengthy illness.
Harry was born in New Brunswick on December 12, 1970 and grew up in Highland Park and Edison before settling in Spotswood. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, and collecting exotic, hand carved archery bows from around the world. Harry was a loving son, brother and a friend to all who knew him. Prior to his illness, Harry was a self employed roofer and home improvements contractor.
He is predeceased by his father Harry Hawk, Sr., who died the victim of a murder in New Brunswick in 1983, his step-father Rick Oricchio and, two uncles, Edward Mattus, Jr. and John Ayres. He is survived by his daughters, Kayla and Elissa Hawk; his devoted mother Kathleen Oricchio and her partner Michael Giacobbe; his loving sister Tara Hawk; an Aunt, Eileen Mattus, an Uncle, Michael Ayres and his wife Elaine; his grandmother Joan McIntyre, and; several cousins.
Harry's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Kontopidis, Dr. Ferreira and Dr. Khalil, and also the 6 North staff at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital who tirelessly dedicated their time and effort during the last month of Harry's life to reverse the damage to Harry's organs in hopes that he might enjoy a long and happy life.
