Irene D. Varga

It is with heavy heart that the family of Irene Varga of South River announce her passing on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Saint Peters University Hospital, New Brunswick. 

Born in Manchester, England, Irene resided in South River. She relocated to Port Charlotte, Florida before settling back in South River. Prior to her retirement, Irene was employed at the Quality Bakery and Cumberland Farms in South River. Irene served in the British military during World War II. She enjoyed shopping and was especially fond of jewelry. Above all, Irene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Predeceased by her husband, John Martin Varga, and her daughter, Sharon, she is survived by her children, John, Paulette, Melissa and Janice. She is also survived by many grandchildren, and great grandchildren who will cherish her memory.

A funeral mass will be said Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 100 James Street, South River. Cremation and disposition are private.
