Jeanette Liebman, 94, of Monroe Township, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center, Plainsboro.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Jeanette also lived in Queens, New York and Englishtown, NJ before settling in Monroe Township ten years ago. Always known as Jackie, she was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and homemaker. Everyone who got to meet her quickly realized that she was one of a kind, the life of the party. She enjoyed decorating, antiquing, singing and dancing, knitting and reading, as well as paddle ball in her younger days. A city girl, she also enjoyed living on a small farm in Mt. Holly with her husband Herbie and raising horses. Jackie also loved her dogs and cats. Above all else, Jeanette cherished having all of her extended family members, especially her grandchildren, in her home for get-togethers.
Jackie is predeceased by her husband, Herbert Liebman, in 2018, her cherished mother Mary, and her three siblings, Arthur, Florence and Irene. Jeanette is survived by her children, Stewart Liebman and his wife, Jenny, Heidi Berkey and Mitchell Liebman and his wife, Gwen; her grandchildren, Jared, Heather, Aaron, Lauren, Megan, Max and Sydney, and; great-grandchildren, Ariana, Maceo, Kendall, Caden, Kyro and Sterling, and great-great grandchild Bryson. There are also many nieces, nephews and cousins that adored their Aunt Jackie. A 12:30 PM graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 22nd at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, under the direction of Beth Israel Memorial Chapel. Attendees are requested to gather at the cemetery office.
Donations honoring Jeanette’s memory may be made to the ASPCA or any similar animal rights organization.
