John S. Beck, Sr., 76 of Monroe Township, passed away on Tuesday October 28th 2025 in East Brunswick.
Born in Newark, John was raised in Irvington. He lived in Fresno, California for a short period time before settling in Spotswood, Helmetta and finally Monroe Township. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era, from 1966 to 1971. For many years, John was a maintenance mechanic with several companies in the Middlesex County area. For the past six years, he worked part-time for The Dollar Tree in Manalapan Township. He enjoyed drag racing with his brother-in-law Bobby Dougherty. He enjoyed fishing and tinkering on just about anything. Most of all, he loved spending time with his granddaughter, Morgan.
Predeceased by his wife Terry in 2009, his son John in 2013, his sister Joan DiGeronimo, and brother Paul Beck.
He is survived by his daughters Amy and Jill Beck, his brother Albert Beck and his wife Chicki, his granddaughters Hailey Ann Beck, and Morgan Lilly Beck. He is also survived by brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Cremation is private. Family and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial gathering on Saturday November 15th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood.
In lieu of flowers, donations honoring John’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
