John Sakevich, Sr.

John Sakevich, Sr., 82, of Monroe Township passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 in Monroe Township.

Born and raised in Scranton and Dixon City, Pennsylvania, John lived for many years in the Grasmere section of Staten Island, New York before settling in Monroe Township one year ago. He retired many years ago from the former Bowery Savings Bank of New York where he worked for 35 years. John was an avid photographer and he enjoyed watching many sports events. He also looked forward to his trips to visit family in Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his children, Donna Lucci and John Sakevich, Jr., both of Monroe Township.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 12th, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home 475 Main Street, Spotswood. A private cremation will follow.
