Joseph Weresow, Jr. Obituary

Joseph Weresow, Jr., 56, of Spotswood, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, following an extended illness.

Born in Princeton, Joe was raised in Helmetta and settled in Spotswood in 2004. He was employed by S. Eide Contracting, LLC of Parlin as a driver for the last two years. Previously, he worked as a diesel mechanic for Jon-Mar Trucking Company of Parlin for twenty years.

Joe was a friend to all; he would greet you with the brightest smile and in minutes made you feel not only welcomed but that you had known him for years. He was always available to lend a helping hand to anyone in need! At first look he was intimidating but you quickly realized he was truly a gentle giant.

“Boogity Boogity Boogity – Let’s go Racing”.  Joe loved Nascar and would spend many fun filled weekends watching the cars avoid the wall but secretly hoping for “The Big One”. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan – “HOW BOUT DEM BOYS” which was a great source of pride and frustration depending on the season. He also enjoyed time spent just taking a ride on his motorcycle to cleanse his soul.

Joe so enjoyed time spent with friends, whether it was a cruise to the Caribbean, sitting on the beach with his keystone light or simply sitting in the backyard by the fire singing his famous “Family Tradition”. He left us all with a treasure trove of spectacular memories.

Joe was so many things to so many people, but his most important role was DAD. His proudest accomplishment was watching his son Christopher grow into the incredible son and man he is today. You only had to be around him and his “baby girl” for a second to see the amazing bond they shared and how much joy his JoJo brought him.

Joe was a LIFE GIFT to all that had the privilege of knowing him and he will be missed dearly by so many!

Predeceased by his beloved father, Joseph Weresow, Sr., Joe is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Jennifer Weresow; his devoted son, Christopher Weresow; his cherished daughter, Josslyn Weresow; his mother, Kathryn Weresow; his caring sisters, Laurie Weresow and JoAnne Barry, and; a brother. Joe will also be missed by his many, loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
