Josephine Marold

Josephine Marold, 95, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 in Chapel Hill.

Born in Clifton, Josephine was raised in Queens, New York and lived more than 40 years in New Brunswick before moving to Marlborough, Massachusetts, then settling in Chapel Hill in 2008. She was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church of New Brunswick, where she also taught Sunday School for several years. She was an avid reader and in later years, a fan of books on tape.

Predeceased by her husband, Charles Marold in 1967 and her six brothers and sisters, she is survived by her children, Kenneth Marold and his wife Claire of Rochester, NY, Doran Marold and her husband Frank Lane of Graham, NC and Patricia Tunick and her husband Kevin of Chapel Hill, NC; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Wendy, Scott and Nicole, and; her great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Michael and Charlotte.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 16th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home 475 Main Street, Spotswood, followed by interment in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
