Justin P. "Rocky" Rochford, 20, of Spotswood passed away on Saturday, January 16th in Manalapan Township as the result of a tragic motor vehicle accident.
Rocky was born and raised in Staten Island, New York and settled in Spotswood in 2005. He was a 2018 graduate of Spotswood High School where he was a member of the Chargers golf team for three years. He enjoyed skateboarding, riding BMX bikes, racing dirt bikes, competing in motocross events at Raceway Park in Englishtown and junior drag racing. He enjoyed traveling and had recently been to the Grand Canyon in Arizona.
Rocky was a kind soul with a heart of gold who enjoyed spending time at home with family and friends alike. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Predeceased by both of his grandfathers, he is survived by his parents, Patrick and Wendy Rochford; his sister, Nicolette Neldin and her husband Kyle; his brother, Christian Rochford; his grandmothers, Annie Larsen and Gail Rochford, his aunts and uncles, Michael Larsen and his wife Angela, Brian Larsen, Frank Rochford, Tom Rochford and his wife Sue and Colleen Palmer and her husband Steve.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Spotswood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Manalapan Road Spotswood. Funeral services will begin with a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial from the Church on Thursday morning. Cremation will be private. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions placed on gatherings and activities, all current guidelines are to be observed during visitations, including the use of face coverings and social distancing.
