Kenneth King Obituary

Kenneth Charles King, 80, of Old Bridge Township, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at HMH Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge.

Born and raised in New York City, New York, Ken lived in Queens for many years before settling in Old Bridge Township in 1994. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. After returning from military service, Ken went to work for Con-Edison in New York City as a construction representative for 35 years, retiring in 2000. He found comfort in feeding and observing the birds that gathered in his yard. He enjoyed watching televised sports and looked forward to his winters in Coconut Creek, FL. Ken was known for his great sense of humor, storytelling ability and his favorite meals of lobster and skirt steak. Among his greatest joys was traveling to the islands with his devoted wife, where they shared many of their happiest moments together.  Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family and cherished all his nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Pauline King and his siblings, Artie, Paul and Pauline King. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Joyce King; his brother, Jerry King; his sister, Annmarie King, his brother-in-law Frank Santora; his sisters-in-law Deborah Santora, Helen Dawson and Gladys Butler; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Ken’s stories, humor, and love of family will be remembered always. His laughter, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

After a private cremation, a celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Saturday, February 28th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood.
