Kristina L. Stryker, 42, of Spotswood, passed away after a valiant battle with cancer, on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick.
Born in New Brunswick, Kristina was raised in South River before moving to Spotswood in the mid-1990s. She received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University, New Brunswick and her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Strayer University, Baltimore, Maryland. For the past 18 years, she has worked as a Vice President and Credit Officer for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Pennington. Kristina was very caring and thoughtful, she enjoyed time with her family, gardening, baking, vacations and beaches, crafting and water color painting. She was also her son’s biggest fan at his school sporting events.
Kristina is survived by her husband of nine years, Nelson R. Styker Jr; her son, Bryson Stryker; her parents, Kenneth and Paula Funk; her sister, Kimberly Christian and her husband, David; her maternal grandfather, Italo Adornati; and, her niece and Goddaughter, Emilie Christian, who always called Kristina her “fairy Godmother” and nephew, Timothy Christian.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, April 25th, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood. Cremation will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Kristina’s memory may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
