Louise Viox Obituary

Louise Mary Viox, 81, of Monroe Township, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton.

Born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, Mary lived in the Glendale section of Queens, New York for most of her life, settling in the Greenbriar Community of Monroe Township in 2022.  She retired from the Law Practice of Davis Polk and Wardwell, LLP, of New York City, New York in 2013, where she worked as an Executive Assistant.  Mary enjoyed spending time with family and friends, knitting, reading, playing the slot machines in Atlantic City and she was an avid fan of Bruce Springsteen’s music.  She also enjoyed traveling, most recently visiting Ireland, Scotland and France.  Above all else, she looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren.

Predeceased by her parents, Donald and Corinne Hewitt, her siblings, Donald Hewitt, Robert Hewitt and Dorothy Lowry, and her son, Michael Donlin.  She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Gerard Viox; her children, Kelly Beck and her husband, John, Daniel Donlin and his wife, Lori, Theresa Hahn, James Donlin and Jodi Donlin; her brothers, Terrance and Joseph Hewitt; her sisters, Holly Hewitt and Tammie Consalvo, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM, on Saturday, October 26th, from Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, followed by interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.  A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, October 25th at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Mary’s memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
