Marilyn Rhea Goodman, 76, of Monroe Township, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family, on Sunday, October 16, 2022.
Born in Newark, Marilyn was raised in Cranford and lived in Colonia for 19 years before settling in Monroe Township in 1991. She was a member of the former Temple Emanu-El of Edison. She worked as an administrative assistant for several firms in the software industry, but she was primarily a homemaker raising her daughters. She enjoyed cooking from handed down family recipes, shopping, reading, traveling, needlepoint and making new friends. She especially loved and looked forward to the summer when the family would have their traditional Wildwood Crest vacation. Above all else, Marilyn cherished time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Howard Goodman; her daughters Jodi Reed and husband Keith and Melissa Mancinelli and husband Donald, and; her grandchildren Devon and Shelby Reed and Michael and Alex Mancinelli.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 19th at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, NJ. Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ. The family will be welcoming guests and sitting Shiva following interment, at the home of Melissa and Donald Mancinelli, 17 Christina Avenue, Monroe Township, NJ between the hours of 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
