Mary Louise McGhee, 73, of Monroe Township passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick.
Born and raised in Zuni, Virginia, Mary moved to Jersey City at the age of 18 and lived there until she settled in Monroe Township in 2015. She retired in 2013 from Tropicana Products Inc. of Jersey City where she worked for nearly 20 years. Prior to Tropicana, Mary worked for Colgate-Palmolive, also of Jersey City for 20 years. Mary enjoyed traveling both in the United States and abroad, visiting casinos across the country, walking and going out for dinners with her husband and friends. She was a strong woman and she was very much devoted to her family.
Predeceased by her siblings Pernell and Lorenzo Holmes and Benex LeSane, she is survived by her husband of 47 years, Raymond McGhee; her daughters Kim and Karen McGhee, her siblings Emma Armstrong, James and Henry Holmes, Adell Daily and Glenda Saunders, and; her granddaughter Bernya McGhee.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 17th from 10:00 AM until the start of services at the Mount Olivet Baptist Church, 21 Rev. William L. Powell Drive, Hightstown. A private cremation will follow services. Please note that due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks will be required for attendance at the services.
