Maryann Wong

Maryann Wong, 71, of Monroe Township passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 17, 2021.

Born in New Brunswick, Maryann was raised in East Brunswick and lived there until 2002 when she moved to Spotswood. She settled in Monroe Township in 2016. She worked as a hairdresser for many years at Carousel Hair Salon in East Brunswick and also as a waitress at the former Twin Joy Restaurant, also in East Brunswick. She enjoyed cooking, dinner with her friends and holiday gatherings with all of her family. She also enjoyed antiquing, her trips to Gettysburg, PA to collect country furnishings and attending afternoon teas, regimentary reviews and chapel services at the Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, PA during the spring and fall.

Predeceased by her parents Walter and Olive Hulak, she is survived by her husband of 39 years Albert Wong of Monroe Township; her daughter Sherry VanDemark of East Brunswick, and; her sisters Olive Hansen of South River and Elizabeth Jamison of Florida.

Friends and family are invited to gather on Wednesday, February 23rd, at 11:00 AM for a final farewell to Maryann at Spotswood Funeral Home at 475 Main Street, Spotswood. A private cremation will follow.
