Michael F. Lindsay, 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Roosevelt Care Center, Old Bridge, NJ.
Michael was born in Rochester, NY in 1942. He lived with his mother Margaret, and family and did not meet his father Fred until 1945 as he was fighting the Second World War in North Africa and Europe. Margaret and Fred would go on to have their own personal “baby boom” and add 9 more children. Even up until his final years, Michael always took pride in telling anyone who would listen how he was the oldest of 10.
Michael graduated from St. John Fisher College, achieved much success in his business career and was able to travel all over the country and even overseas to places like Australia. He and his former wife Sharon were long-term residents of Washington Township, NJ. Throughout his life he enjoyed skiing, sailing, golf and telling bad jokes.
Michael is survived by his stepdaughter Samantha and son Jeff. In addition to Jeff and Samantha, he is survived by his daughter-in-law Jessica Lindsay, cherished granddaughters Avery (10) and Natalie (5), his loving sister Jenni, her partner Nancy, and the rest of the Lindsay family including siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
The family is extremely appreciative of the loving and professional nursing care he received at Roosevelt Care Center.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Spotswood Funeral Home, with a private memorial service to be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Michael’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater New Jersey.
