Pasquale "Pat" Orzo

Pasquale A. Orzo, 85, of Spotswood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick.

Born and raised in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, New York, Pat settled in Spotswood in 1972. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood, as well as a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus of Immaculate Conception, Council 4907. He was an avid New York Giants and New York Mets fan. For many years, Pat enjoyed playing softball and bowling. Most of all, Pat enjoyed spending time with his family and all of his grandchildren.

Predeceased by his parents, Giacinto and Theresa Orzo, he is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Orzo; his siblings, Carmella LoPresto and her husband Frank and Anthony Orzo and his wife Terri; his children Carolyn Orzo and her partner Jeff Kimberlin, Mary Ellen Kelly and her partner Jack Carney and George Orzo and his wife Linda; his grandchildren Anthony and his wife Tammy, Joseph Blaszka and his wife Trish, Nikole Ruffley and George Orzo, and; his great-grandchildren Joey, Adrian, Lillian, Briella, Vinny, Niko and Casey Jane.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 26th, from Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, followed by committal in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. The family will receive family and friends on Friday, August 25th, from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Pat's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
