Patricia Ann Cook, 79, of Spotswood, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 17, 2024 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick.
Born in Oceanside, California, Pat lived in Elizabeth until settling in Spotswood in 1974. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. While raising her family, Pat worked part time for twenty years at JC Penney in Brunswick Square Mall, retiring in 2001. She enjoyed day trips, especially the Jersey Shore and participating in the Lighthouse Challenge, gardening, reading and dinners at Red Lobster. But above all else, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and attending all of their school and sporting events.
Predeceased by her husband, John Cook, Sr. in 2011, her son Patrick Cook in 2001 and her sister, Barbara Lucas, she is survived by her children, John Cook, Jr. and his wife, Maria, Theresa Molyneux and her husband, John and Elizabeth Davis; a sister, Kathy Roberts; a brother, Antone Lucas, Jr.; her grandchildren, Timothy, Ashley, Kevin, Emily and Allison; her great-grandchildren, Amaya and JJ; and, her fur-baby, Noah.
The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, May 21st, from 9:30 AM until 12:30 PM, at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood. A blessing will be offered at 12:00 PM after which we will proceed to Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick, for a committal service.
