Patty G. Scrofani, 70, of Hillsborough Township, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 in Spotswood.
Born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota, she lived in Tarrytown, New York, Norwalk, Connecticut and Islip, Long Island before settling in Hillsborough Township 30 years ago. She worked in her family’s business, Hillsborough Vacuum, for 15 years, retiring in 2015. She enjoyed traveling, swimming, gardening, reading and watching the Dallas Cowboys with her family. She looked forward to time spent with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Patty was a very selfless person who always put everyone’s needs above her own.
Predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Frank Scrofani, this past January, her parents, Gerald and Ruby Branscombe and, her brothers, Donald, David and Richard Branscomb. Patty is survived by her children, Frank Scrofani, Megan Schutz and her husband, John, Nicole Merrick and her husband, James, Joseph Scrofani and Ralph Scrofani and his wife, Agnes; a brother, Duwayne Branscombe, and; six grandchildren, Jessica, Kyle, Lena, Jack, Maya and Eliana.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 until 6:00 PM on Thursday, October 17th at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Patty’s memory may be made to the Northern Lights Foundation, a children’s charity founded by her cousin, Kenneth Larson.
