Paul Turkowitz, 87, of Monroe Township, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Paul lived in East Brunswick for 35 years before settling in the Concordia Community of Monroe Township in 2007. He was the owner of Paul’s Economy Pharmacy in Staten Island, New York for over 30 years. After selling his business to the CVS Pharmacy group, he remained a pharmacist for CVS for another 10 years, retiring in 2013. He enjoyed playing poker and gin, watching the New York Giants, Mets and Rangers, traveling and cruising and spending time with his grandchildren. He was also an avid Brooklyn Dodgers fan before they moved to California.
Predeceased by his wife, Rhoda Turkowitz in 2008 and, his brother, Herbert Turkowitz, Paul is survived by his children, Susan Turkowitz-Sia and her husband, Paul Sia and, Andrew Turkowitz and his wife, Kelly; his sister, Fern Turkowitz, and; his grandchildren, Sara, Emma, William and Joseph.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM, Sunday, February 2nd, at Wellwood Cemetery, 1500 Wellwood Avenue, West Babylon, NY under the direction of Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, Spotswood.
