Ranjit M. Mehta

Ranjit M. Mehta, 79, of East Brunswick, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at HMH Old Bridge Medical Center.

Born in Kabwe, Zambia, Ranjit’s family moved to Navsari, India when he was five years old. He remained there until returning to Zambia for a short period before coming to the United States in 1975 and settling in East Brunswick in 1978. He earned his MBA in accounting from Staten Island University and then earned his CPA designation. He has been continually self-employed for more than 40 years. Ranjit was a devoted husband to his wife, Koki, and he was very dedicated to his friends, family and clients. He enjoyed music, and for a few years, he hosted a radio show on Rutgers University’s WRSU-FM radio station featuring Asian Indian artists. He also had a YouTube music channel.

Predeceased by his parents, Maganlal and Shantaben Mehta and, his siblings, Surendrabhai M., Bhanuben M. and Sumitraben M. Mehta, he is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Koki Mehta, and; his siblings, Urmilaben C. and Manjulaben B. Desai.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Puja on Saturday, February 21st, from 11:30 to 1:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood. Cremation will follow at the Crematory at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick, immediately following our chapel service.
