Robert A. Keepers, Sr.

Robert A. Keepers, Sr, 69, of Spotswood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 25, 2022.

Born in Newton, Bobby was raised in New Brunswick and his family settled in Spotswood in the early 1960s. He was an electrician with the former Monroe Electric for more than 30 years before working for Mac Electrical Contractors of Toms River, retiring in 2020. He was a life member of the Spotswood Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed spending time with family and his dogs and also enjoyed watching the New York Yankees.

Predeceased by his wife Debra in 2016, his son Robert, II in 1995, his parents, Raymond and Vera, his sister Barbara Watrous and her husband Ted, and; his brothers Mike, Gary and Thomas. He is survived by his Aunt Marie Touw; many nieces and nephews, and; his sisters-in-law Kate and Cindy Keepers.

Funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 1st, from Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, followed by a committal at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick at 11:30 AM. Friends and family may call on Friday, September 30th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
