Robert G. Nakash, Sr. entered the Gates of Heaven on September 12, 2020 and embraced his beloved wife Joan who was there to greet him. He was born in Paterson and raised in East Orange. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, spending most of his time on the Battleship New Jersey. He was an entrepreneur auto mechanic and operated his own service station in Old Bridge until he retired. He was smart, wise and gentle and the man everyone went to for advice. He loved cars and playing golf with his friends and family. He was perfect!
He was predeceased by his siblings, Charles Nakash and Marion Nakashian. He will be missed by his children, Debbi Graves and her husband Ned of Bethlehem, PA, Dawn Quarino and her husband Vincent and Robert Nakash, Jr. all of Monroe Twp. and William Nakash and his wife Aiza of Las Vegas, NV; his six grandchildren, Ashleigh Aiken and her husband Shaun, Zachary Graves, Alexa Quarino and Luke, Hunter and Parker Nakash, and; his cousins, Jane Losada and Thomas Betterbed.
Visitation will be 10:30-11:30 AM on Friday, September 18, 2020 at The Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood. Entombment will follow at Forest Green Park Cemetery Mausoleum, 535 Texas Road, Morganville. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions placed on gatherings and activities, all current guidelines are to be observed during visitation, including the use of face coverings and social distancing.
