Rodolfo B. Cuaderno, 88, of Spotswood, died Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Manila, Philippines, Rodolfo emigrated to the United States first living in Queens, NY, then in Jersey City where, he was appointed by then-Mayor Brett Schundler as Commissioner for Senior Affairs for several years. He and his family settled in Spotswood in 2006. He held degrees in both banking and law. He was a founding member and vice-president of the Trader's Commercial Bank in his home country before coming to work for Chemical Bank in New York City as a letter of credit specialist. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Febronia (Dominno) Cuaderno of Spotswood; his children, Cynthia Cu of Sayreville, Lulu Quitasol of Basking Ridge, Natividad Anolin of Aurora, CO, Virginia Ferriols of Quezon City, Philippines, Arnulfo Cuaderno of Manila, Philippines, Charles Cuaderno of Spotswood and, Connie Cuaderno-Castillo of South River; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
