Surinder Kaur

Surinder Kaur, 75, of Monroe Township, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Cranbury Center, where she had been under care since July 2020.

She was born in Sabalpur, India on April 24, 1945 where she spent her childhood in Punjab.  She married Ranjit Singh Khalsa on April 13th, 1965 in Ludhiana Punjab where they welcomed and lived with their four children.  In March 1999 she migrated to the USA and lived in Jersey City, NJ. In 2007 before the marriage of her son they family moved to Edison, NJ in 2007 and then eventually settled in Monroe, NJ in August 2016. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, playing with her grandchildren and reminiscing about her days in India when she was young.  Surinder was a deeply religious person who prayed throughout the day.  She loved to write in her daily diary in which she gave her children and grandchildren blessings. She was a one of a kind, a soul so pure; a heart made of gold whom will be missed greatly..

She is survived by her husband, Ranjit Khalsa in Monroe NJ.  Her daughter Hartirath Kaur and her husband Jaswinder Walia and their daughters Grace and Alisha Walia in New York.  Her daughter Rajinder Kaur and her daughters Jeevanjot and Amanjot Kaur in India.  Her daughter Pancham Kaur and her daughter Sheena Kaur in India. Her son Prabhjot Singh and his wife Rekha Gunjal and their children Gia Kaur and Aaron Singh in Monroe, NJ.  Surinder Kaur had 7 siblings, Rajinder Singh, Davinder Singh, Harbans Kaur, Satwant Kaur, Deepa Kaur, Manju Kaur and Swarna Kaur.

Private funeral services have been entrusted to Spotswood Funeral Home.
