Vito Esposito

Vito Esposito, 77, of East Brunswick, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026.

Born and raised in San Giovanni Gemini, Italy, Vito came to the United States as a child and resided in Bayonne for many years before moving to Bayville in the early 2000s. In 2023, he settled in East Brunswick.

 A devout Catholic, Vito was a longtime communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Bayonne and later became a member of St. Barnabas Church in Bayville. He was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 8603 of Bayville, and a Fourth-Degree member of the John D. McMahon Assembly in Toms River.

Vito attended St. Peter’s University in Jersey City, where he earned four degrees in Marketing Management, Business Law, Psychology, and Accounting and Finance. He was the owner of International Credit Management in Bayonne for many years before serving as Chief Financial Officer of CIT Group in New York City.

 Vito was known for his warm and engaging personality and could strike up a conversation with anyone he met. He enjoyed delicious food, fine wine, dancing, and spending cherished time with family and friends—especially at the many cousins’ dinners he shared over the years. A man of many talents and interests, he was also an accomplished drummer and a licensed private pilot.

 He is survived by his beloved son, Giancarlo Esposito and his wife, Jennifer; his cherished grandson, Giuseppe Esposito; his siblings, Frank Esposito; Nancy Mack and her husband, Richard; and Paula Noto and her husband, Richard; his cousins, Angela Bukofsky and Ted Ricci; and his close friends, Harry Torres and Jeff Kohn.

 Funeral services will begin at 8:00 AM on Saturday, February 14th, at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood, followed by a 9:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Cremation will be private. Family and friends may call on Friday, February 13th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Vito’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
