Wrinn Hansen Obituary

Wrinn William Hansen. 70, of Brigantine left this world on Friday, February 25, 2021 in Atlantic City. He will be laid to rest beside his uncle and namesake, Monsignor William Wrinn.

Born in New Brunswick, Wrinn lived in Spotswood before settling in Brigantine. He attended Mother of the Savior Seminary, but his life ultimately went in a different direction. As computer technology became popular, Wrinn attended one of the first technology schools in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. To make ends meet while in school, he lived in a YMCA and worked weekends as a dishwasher in a local restaurant. He graduated and went to work as a Systems Analyst, traveling the world for his work. After a full career, Wrinn taught at the former Bryman Computer School of East Brunswick. After his retirement, he took a part time position at Tiffany's Jewelers in Atlantic City where he helped couples find their perfect engagement ring. In later years, as his late wife Doris grew ill, he devoted himself completely to her care until her passing, all while he himself was on a dialyses regimen.

Four years ago, Wrinn found love again during his dialysis sessions, when he met Helen Williams, whom he nicknamed "baby girl." As a couple, Wrinn and Helen enjoyed making the most of their time together and frequently visited fairs and festivals with Smithville being one of their favorite places to go. Wrinn was always a gentleman and showed his love and affection for Helen with many a kind gesture and flowers. He will be remembered as a positive person who often said "I don't do negative." He will live on in the memory of those who loved him and will sadly miss him.

Wrinn was predeceased by his wife Doris, a daughter Mary Rose, parents Albert and Elizabeth and siblings Susan, Charles and Michael. He is survived by siblings Jim, John and Marie; a niece, four nephews, two great nieces, two great nephews, and; his companion Helen.

Cremation was private. A committal service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Thursday, March 4th at Saint Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick.
